By creating an account with the Food Hero Application (the App) and submitting an Entry (defined below), you (Contestant, You or Your) agree to be bound by Part A and Part B of these Terms and Conditions (Terms).

By creating an account with the App or accessing the App, you agree to be bound by Part B of these Terms and Conditions.

For the avoidance of doubt, while this Contest (as defined below) is administered via a mobile application that can be downloaded from Apple Inc.’s App Store, Apple Inc. and its related companies are not sponsors of this Contest.

PART A: CONTEST MECHANICS

1. The Contest
   The "Food Hero – Call to Action” is a game of skill (Contest). This Contest is organized by Scripps Networks Interactive (Asia) Pte.Ltd. (SNI).
   
   
2. Contest Mechanics
   
   
   • Contestants have a chance to be selected as to appear as our newest talent on either Food Network or the Asian Food Channel.
     
     
   • The Contest will be conducted in accordance with the following timelines and regulations (Timeline):
     
     Date:
     23 May 2016, 0900 hours to 21 August 2016, 2359 hours
     Activity:
     Contestants upload one (1) videoclip of maximum 3 minutes duration (Video Entry) to the App.
     Regulations:
     • Contestants are limited to submitting one (1) video entry per Contestant.
     • Contestants shall submit their Video Entry by uploading the Video Entry to the App.
     • The Video Entry shall be in full high definition, 1920 x 1080 resolution.
     • Video entries will be automatically uploaded to the Food Hero YouTube channel.
     
     Date:
     22 August 2016 to 24 August 2016
     Activity:
     SNI selects maximum of 5 semi-finalists (Semi-Finalists). The semi-final round will be conducted either by either a) video submission, or b) a on-ground challenge, at SNI’s discretion and as notified by SNI to the Semi-Finalists.
     Regulations:
     
     • Upon request by SNI, Contestants shall deliver the Video Entry to SNI in accordance with SNI’s instructions.
     • Contestants who are selected as Semi-Finalists shall agree to any additional terms and conditions, and execute any documents provided by SNI.
     • Notification of Semi-Finalist status must be kept confidential until the names of the Semi-Finalists are announced by SNI.

     25 August 2016 to 17 September 2016
     Activity:
     a) Video Submission
     Semi-Finalists complete challenges and upload videos of semi-finalists completing challenges the App. (Semi-Final Videos)
     Regulations:
     
     • Semi-Finalists are limited to submitting one (1) video entry per challenge.
     • Upon request by SNI, Semi-Finalists shall deliver their Semi-Final Videos to SNI in accordance with SNI’s instructions.
     • Semi-Finalists must complete all challenges and submit their video entries for each challenge in accordance with these Terms.

     Activity:
     b) On-Ground Event
     Semi-Finalists travel to a location in Asia Pacific determined by SNI and complete challenge/s in accordance with instructions provided by SNI.
     Regulations:
     
     • SNI will notify Semi-Finalists about the date and location of the semi-final round.
     • SNI reserves the right to disqualify any Semi-Finalist who is not able to travel on the dates (a maximum of 4 days, including travel days) or to the location specified by SNI and to replace that Semi-Finalist with another Contestant.

     Activity:
     SNI selects 4 finalists (Finalists)
     Regulations:
     • Notification of Finalist status must be kept confidential until the names of the Finalists are announced by SNI.
     • Contestants who are selected as Finalists shall agree to any additional terms and conditions, and execute any documents provided by SNI.
     
     Date:
     October 2016 (max. 4 days)
     Activity:
     Finalists travel to Singapore and compete in the final round of the Contest
     Regulations:
     SNI reserves the right to disqualify any Finalist who is not able to travel on the dates (a maximum of 4 days, including travel days) or to Singapore and to replace that Finalist with another Contestant.

     October 2016 (1 day)
     Activity:
     SNI selects 1 Contestant as the winner of the Contest (Winner/s)
     Regulations:
     Notification of Winner status must be kept confidential until the name of the Winner are announced by SNI.
     
     
   • SNI reserves the right to amend any and all details, rules and regulations set out in the Timeline in its sole and absolute discretion.
     
   
   
3. Eligibility.
   
   
   1. The Contest is open to persons who are residing in Asia Pacific, and on the date of entry, are at least eighteen (18) years of age.
   
   
   2. You warrant that the personal information you submit ("Personal Data") is true and accurate. Personal Data means any data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data, or from that data and other information to which the organisation has or is likely to have access. Any entries/registrations made under false pretenses will be considered void and result in automatic disqualification.
      
      
   3. Employees of SNI (and those of its affiliates), as well as any entities or individuals involved in organizing, promoting or sponsoring this Contest are not eligible to participate in the Contest.


4. Terms of Entry.
   
   
   1. You acknowledge and agree that your entry into this Contest will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary.
      
      
   2. Your Video Entry, Semi-Final Video (if any) and any other videos and/or material(s) made by you and submitted to SNI (Entry) may be used by SNI without restriction for any purpose whatsoever, including, without limitation, editing, reproduction, disclosure, transmission, publication, broadcast or posting, and You hereby irrevocably waive, release and give up any claim that any use of such violates any of Your rights, including, without limitation, copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, privacy rights, proprietary or other property rights, publicity rights, or right to credit for the material or ideas.
      
      
   3. You hereby assign to SNI with full title guarantee the copyright and all other rights in the nature of copyright subsisting in Your Entry. Further, You hereby irrevocably grant to SNI and its affiliates, the right, but not the obligation, to reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, broadcast, license, perform, post, sell, translate, incorporate, create derivative works from, distribute and otherwise use Your Entry in any and all media, now known or hereafter devised, throughout the world, in perpetuity, without according You any compensation or credit.
      
      
   4. You warrant and represent that (a) you have all the rights (including, but not limited to, music) necessary for SNI to broadcast, transmit, stream, or upload your Entry throughout the world in perpetuity and (b) that your Entry does not contain any material which (i) may be or is defamatory, offensive, indecent, objectionable or illegal, or which may cause annoyance or harassment to any party,; (ii) makes false or untrue claims or representations regarding any product or service, (iii) infringes any intellectual property right or proprietary right (including, but not limited to, copyright, trade marks and moral rights) of any person or entity, (iv) violates any applicable law, regulation or code of practice (including, (but not limited to,) MDA’s programme code and advertising and/or programming policies), and/or (v) markets or promotes any fraudulent, illegal or improper activity or purpose.
      
      
   5. You shall, at your own cost, clear, obtain and maintain all necessary consents, licenses, permits and/ or rights (including, but not limited to, all copyright, trade marks and moral rights) which may be required for SNI to broadcast, stream, transmit, or upload your Entry anywhere in the world in perpetuity.
      
      
   6. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned.
      
      
   7. You agree and understand that SNI is not obligated to use any Entry you make and you have no right to compel such use.
      
      
   8. If there is an element of voting in the Contest, you shall not induce others to vote for you through the use of (i) any incentive, sweepstakes or other promotion; (ii) “bot” technology; or (iii) any other fraudulent mechanism as determined by SNI in its sole discretion.
      
      
   9. You hereby acknowledge and agree that Your relationship with SNI is not a confidential, fiduciary, or other special relationship. You understand and acknowledge that SNI has wide access to ideas, stories, designs, and other literary materials, and that new ideas are constantly being submitted to it or being developed by SNI's own employees. You acknowledge and agree that You will not be entitled to any compensation as a result of SNI's use of any such similar or identical material.
      
      
   10. You acknowledge that, with respect to any claim you may have relating to or arising out of a SNI's actual or alleged exploitation or use of any Entry You submit, the damage, if any, thereby caused will not be irreparable or otherwise sufficient to entitle you to injunctive or other equitable relief or to in any way enjoin the production, distribution, exhibition or other exploitation of any production based on or allegedly based on the material, and Your rights and remedies in any such event shall be strictly limited to the right to recover damages, if any, in an action at law.
       
       
   11. Any breaches breach or non-compliance with any of these Terms may result in disqualification of the Contestant against the Contestant at SNI’s sole and absolute discretion.


5. Selection Process.
   
   
1. The selection process will be conducted by SNI. All decisions of SNI are final and binding and no correspondence will be entertained.
   
   
2. SNI reserves the rights to cancel, modify, suspend or delay this Contest, disqualify any Contestant and to substitute or replace the prizes. SNI may amend these Terms at any time for whatever reason without prior notice to You. SNI may assign and transfer any of its rights and obligations under these Terms to any third party.
   
   
3. SNI reserves the right to withhold the Semi-Finalists’ and Finalists' names and/or results. You acknowledge and agree that SNI shall have no obligation to post, display or otherwise make publicly available any Contestant's entry and/or results; but that SNI may, in its sole discretion publish such details if it so chooses.
   
   
4. You agree to waive any right to pursue any claims of any nature arising in connection with this Contest, SNI, its directors, employees, agents, sponsors and/or affiliates and You further agree that neither SNI nor its affiliates, successors, or assigns shall be liable for any claim, warranty, cost, damage, or injury incurred by You.
   
   
5. You agree that SNI and any sponsors of this Contest are not responsible for any printing, typographical, technical, computer, network or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest, the uploading, the processing or judging of submissions or votes or the tabulating of votes, the announcement of the prizes or in any contest-related materials.

PART B: GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Privacy.
   
   You acknowledge and agree that SNI may collect, use and share your Personal Data such as (without limitation), your name and registration details with its affiliates, partners and vendors for the purposes of organizing this Contest (if you submitted an Entry) and sending You information about SNI's products and services; as well as for such other purposes as may be generally stated in and in accordance with SNI's privacy policy which may be found at http://www.foodhero.asia/privacy-policy.html. You may opt out of receiving marketing emails on the account registration page. SNI may store your Personal Data on servers in Singapore and/or in other countries. The collection, use, transfer and processing of Your Data will be governed by Singapore privacy laws and such other laws which may be applicable to: (i) the country in which You are resident, and (ii) where Your Data is stored. 2. Use of the App
   
   You agree to the Terms of Use for the App and the website www.foodhero.asia found at http://www.foodhero.asia/terms-use.html.
   
   
3. Governing Law.
   
   This Agreement and your participation in this Contest shall be governed by Singapore law and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
   

SCRIPPS NETWORKS INTERACTIVE’S PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect, use, disclose and/or process the personal data you have provided to us in relation to the Food Hero contest, Food Hero mobile application and/or Scripps’ websites (“the SNI Properties”), as well as to assist you in making an informed decision before providing us with any of your personal data.

Please read the terms below carefully. If you do not agree with any of how we collect, use, disclose and/or process your personal data, please stop using the SNI Properties immediately. In accessing and/or using the SNI Properties, you are agreeing to this Privacy Policy.

1. INTRODUCTION
   
   
1. “Personal Data” means data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data, or from that data and other information to which an organisation has or is likely to have access. Common examples of personal data could include names, identification numbers, contact information, photographs and video images.

In certain circumstances, we may request, allow or otherwise provide you with an opportunity to submit your personal data in connection with a feature, program, promotion or some other aspect of the SNI Properties, such as surveys, contests, polls or joining a club, and posting product ratings and recommendations.
3. We will collect your personal data in accordance with the applicable data protection laws. We will notify you of the purposes for which your personal data may be collected, used, disclosed and/or processed, as well as obtain your consent for the collection, use, disclosure and/or processing of your personal data for the intended purposes, unless an exception under the law permits us to collect and process your personal data without your consent.

3. To communicate with you about content or other information you have posted or shared with us via the SNI Properties;
4. To run contests on SNI Properties with sponsors and advertisers, and for marketing by such sponsors and advertisers;
5. To allow our vendors to process credit card orders, deliver our merchandise, administer our promotions, provide us with marketing or promotional assistance, analyze our data, assist us with customer service, and in other ways to carry out our requests when providing you with our products and services;
6. To provide, perform or facilitate service providers to provide functions and services to us, including without limitation, hosting, maintenance, customer relationships, database storage and management and direct marketing campaigns;
7. To comply with laws and to assist law enforcement by any government, law enforcement official or private parties to enforce and comply with the law, including facilitating, responding to and conducting any appropriate claims, legal process (including subpoenas), protecting property and rights of Scripps or any third party, the safety of the public or any person, to prevent or stop any illegal, unethical or legally actionable activity, or to comply with the law;
8. In relation to any sale, transfer or other similar corporate transactions in relation to some or all of Scripps’s assets, including but not limited to any merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets or bankruptcy (you will have an opportunity to opt-out of any such transfer if the new entity’s planned information processing practices differs materially from that set out in this Privacy Policy);
9. In relation to our corporate governance, audit, operational or business protocols;
10. any other purposes which we notify you of at the time of obtaining your consent.

Such third party service providers, agents and/or affiliates or related corporations and/or other third parties would be processing your personal data either on our behalf or otherwise, for one or more of the above-stated Purposes.
   
   
3. NON-PERSONAL DATA
1. Non-personal data is data that does not personally identify you. Non-personal data can include certain personal data that has been anonymised. We obtain non-personal data from information you provide us and automatically when you access the SNI Properties.

We use non-personal data in a variety of ways, including helping to analyze the SNI Properties traffic, understand customer needs and trends, carry out targeted promotional activities and to improve our services. We may use your non-personal data by itself or aggregate it with information we obtain from others. We may share your non-personal data with our affiliated companies and third parties for such purposes. Please remember that aggregate information are anonymous and does not personally identify you.
   
   
4. COOKIES, LOG DATA AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES
1. When you visit SNI Properties, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type or domain from which you are visiting, the websites you visit, your search terms and any advertisements you click on. We use Log Data to monitor use of the SNI Properties and of our services, and for the SNI Properties technical administration of the SNI Properties. Log Data is not associated with your personal data, except in cases of actual or suspected violation of the terms and conditions applicable to you in relation to the SNI Properties.
2. Like many websites, we use cookies to collect additional website usage data and to improve SNI Properties and our services. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your hard disk. We do not use cookies to collect personal data. Scripps may use cookies and other technologies we may employ (such as clear gifs/web beacons) to analyze how you interact with the SNI Properties and our services, to monitor aggregate usage by our users and web traffic routing. Cookies may also help speed up your future activities on SNI Properties.
   
   
5. PUBLIC FORUM
1. We may offer chat rooms, message boards, bulletin boards, or other similar public fora where you and other users of our the SNI Properties can communicate. The protection described in this Privacy Policy does not apply to any information you provide for use in these public fora. When you post personal or non-personal data on a public forum, they can be seen, collected or shared by anyone, including third parties that do not adhere to this Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for events arising from any information you choose to publicly post or share through the SNI Properties.
   
   
6. SPECIFIC ISSUES FOR THE DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD PARTIES
1. We respect the confidentiality of the personal data you have provided to us.
2. In that regard, we will not disclose your personal data to third parties without first obtaining your consent permitting us to do so. However, please note that we may disclose your personal data to third parties without first obtaining your consent in certain situations, including, without limitation, the following:
1. cases in which the disclosure is required or authorized based on the applicable laws and/or regulations;
2. cases in which the purpose of such disclosure is clearly in your interests, and if consent cannot be obtained in a timely way;
3. cases in which the disclosure is necessary to respond to an emergency that threatens the life, health or safety of yourself or another individual;
4. cases in which the disclosure is necessary for any investigation or proceedings;
5. cases in which the personal data is disclosed to any officer of a prescribed law enforcement agency, upon production of written authorisation signed by the head or director of that law enforcement agency or a person of a similar rank, certifying that the personal data is necessary for the purposes of the functions or duties of the officer;
6. cases in which the disclosure is to a public agency and such disclosure is necessary in the public interest; and/or
7. where such disclosure without your consent is permitted by applicable data protection laws or any other law.
3. The instances listed above are not intended to be exhaustive. For more information on the exceptions, you are encouraged to peruse your local data protection laws for any instances allowed under law.
4. Where we disclose your personal data to third parties with your consent, we will employ our best efforts to require such third parties to protect your personal data.
   
   
7. REQUEST FOR ACCESS AND/OR CORRECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
1. You may request to access and/or correct the personal data currently in our possession or control by submitting a written request to us. We will need enough information from you in order to ascertain your identity as well as the nature of your request, so as to be able to deal with your request. Hence, please submit your written request to our DPO.
2. For a request to access personal data, once we have sufficient information from you to deal with the request, we will seek to provide you with the relevant personal data within the period prescribed under data protection laws (if applicable). Where we are unable to respond to you within the prescribed period, we will notify you of the soonest possible time within which we can provide you with the information requested. Note that some data protection laws exempt certain types of personal data from being subject to your access request.
3. For a request to correct personal data, once we have sufficient information from you to deal with the request, we will correct your personal data within the duration prescribed by applicable data protection laws. Where we are unable to do so within this period, we will notify you of the soonest practicable time within which we can make the correction. Note that some data protection laws exempt certain types of personal data from being subject to your correction request as well as provides for situation(s) when corrections need not be made by us despite your request. We will also send corrected personal data to third parties using your personal data if necessary in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
4. Notwithstanding the paragraph above, we may, if you so consent, send the corrected personal data only to specific organisations to which the personal data was disclosed by us within a year before the date the correction was made.
5. We will also be charging you a reasonable fee for the handling and processing of your requests to access your personal data. We will provide you with a written estimate of the fee we will be charging. Please note that we are not required to respond to or deal with your access request unless you have agreed to pay the fee.
   
   
8. REQUEST TO WITHDRAW CONSENT
1. You may withdraw your consent for the collection, use and/or disclosure of your personal data in our possession or under our control by submitting your request to our DPO.
2. We will process your request within a reasonable time from such a request for withdrawal of consent being made, and will thereafter not collect, use and/or disclose your personal data in the manner stated in your request.
3. However, your withdrawal of consent could result in certain legal consequences arising from such withdrawal. In this regard, depending on the extent of your withdrawal of consent for us to process your personal data, it may mean that we may not be able to provide some of our products, services or functionalities.
   
   
9. ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT OF PERSONAL DATA
1. We will take reasonable efforts to ensure that your personal data is accurate and complete, if your personal data is likely to be used by Scripps to make a decision that affects you, or disclosed to another organisation. However, this means that you must also update us of any changes in your personal data that you had initially provided us with. We will not be responsible for relying on inaccurate or incomplete personal data arising from your not updating us of any changes in your personal data that you had initially provided us with.
2. We will also put in place reasonable security arrangements to ensure that your personal data is adequately protected and secured. Appropriate security arrangements will be taken to prevent any unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, leakage, loss, damage and/or alteration of your personal data. However, we cannot assume responsibility for any unauthorized use of your personal data by third parties which are wholly attributable to factors beyond our control.
3. We will also put in place measures such that your personal data in our possession or under our control is destroyed and/or anonymized as soon as it is reasonable to assume that (i) the purpose for which that personal data was collected is no longer being served by the retention of such personal data; and (ii) retention is no longer necessary for any other legal or business purposes.
4. Where your personal data is to be transferred out of your country, we will comply with the data protection laws in your country in doing so. In this regard, this includes us obtaining your consent unless an exception under the local data protection law or other law applies, and taking appropriate steps to ascertain that the foreign recipient organisation of the personal data is bound by legally enforceable obligations to provide to the transferred personal data a standard of protection that is at least comparable to the protection under the applicable data protection laws of your country. This may include us entering into an appropriate contract with the foreign recipient organisation dealing with the personal data transfer or permitting the personal data transfer without such a contract if the data protection laws or other law permits us to.
   
   
10. COMPLAINT PROCESS
1. If you have any complaint or grievance regarding about how we are handling your personal data or about how we are complying with the data protection laws of your country, we welcome you to contact us with your complaint or grievance at asia.marketing@scrippsnetworks.com.
2. Where it is an email or a letter through which you are submitting a complaint, your indication at the subject header that it is a data protection complaint would assist us in attending to your complaint speedily by passing it on to the relevant staff in our organisation to handle. For example, you could insert the subject header as “Data Protection Complaint”.
3. We will certainly strive to deal with any complaint or grievance that you may have speedily and fairly.
   
   
11. THIRD PARTY LINKS AND MATERIALS
1. The SNI Properties may contain links to other websites. The fact that we provide links to a website is not an endorsement, authorisation or representation of our affiliation with the third party. We do not exercise control over third party websites. These websites may place their own cookies or other files on your computer, collect data or solicit personal data from you. Please read the privacy policies of the other websites you visit to ensure that you are aware of their data protection policies and provide appropriate consent.
   
   
12. CHILDREN
1. This SNI Properties is not directed to persons under 18 years of age. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with personal data without their consent, he or she should contact us through our DPO. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete such information from our files.
   
   
13. UPDATES ON DATA PROTECTION POLICY
1. As part of our efforts to ensure that we properly manage, protect and process your personal data, we will be reviewing our policies, procedures and processes from time to time.

4. CONDITIONS FOR LINKING TO WEBSITE
   We hereby grant you a non-exclusive, limited licence, revocable at our discretion, for you to link to the Website home page from any site you own or control that is not commercially competitive with the Website or any other website or service which we may operate from time to time and does not criticise or otherwise injure us, so long as the site where the link resides, and all other locations to which such site links, comply with all applicable laws and do not in any way abuse, defame, stalk, threaten or violate the rights of privacy, publicity, intellectual property or other legal rights of others or, in any way, post, publish, distribute, disseminate or facilitate any inappropriate, infringing, defamatory, profane, indecent, obscene or illegal/unlawful information, topic, name or other material or that violates the spirit of our mission. 5. USER REGISTRATION

Moreover, any conduct by a user that in our sole discretion restricts or inhibits any other user from using or enjoying the Website will not be permitted.

We do not endorse, warrant and are not responsible for the accuracy, timeliness, completeness, or reliability of any opinion, advice, or statement made on the Website by anyone other than our authorised employees or spokespersons while acting in their official capacities.
   
   (C) If there is a dispute between persons accessing the Website or between persons accessing the Website and any third party, you understand and agree that we are under no obligation to become involved. 8. MOBILE
   The Website may include certain services that may be available via your mobile phone, including without limitation:(A) the ability to upload to the Website via your mobile phone (Mobile Uploads): (b) the ability to receive and reply to messages and to send content and messages using text messaging (Mobile Texts): and (c) the ability to access the Website from your mobile phone (Mobile Web) (collectively, the “Mobile Services”). We do not currently charge for Mobile Services. Your carrier’s normal messaging, data and other rates and fees will, however, still apply. By using the Mobile Services you agree that we may communicate with you regarding the Website and our partners by SMS, MMS, text message or other electronic means to your mobile device and that certain information about your usage of the Mobile Services will be communicated to us.

FURTHERMORE, YOU AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF, RELATING TO, OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH ANY OF THE WEBSITE OR THESE TERMS OF USE MUST COMMENCE WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER THE CAUSE OF ACTION ACCRUES; OTHERWISE, SUCH CAUSE OF ACTION SHALL BE
    PERMANENTLY BARRED.
    
    (C) Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, nor our liability for fraudulent statements, nor any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
    
    
12. TERMINATION
    (A) We reserve the right in our sole discretion and at any time to terminate or suspend your Membership and/or block your access to the Website for any reason including, without limitation if you have failed to comply with the letter and spirit of these Terms of Use. You agree that we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any termination or suspension of your Membership or for blocking your access to the Website.

    (B) Any suspension or termination shall not affect your obligations to us under these Terms of Use. The provisions of these Terms of Use which by their nature should survive the suspension or termination of your Membership or these Terms of Use shall survive including, but not limited to, the rights and licences that you have granted hereunder, indemnities, releases, disclaimers, limitations on liability, provisions related to choice of law, dispute resolution and all of the miscellaneous provisions in Section 17.
    
    
13. COPYRIGHT POLICY
    We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. In appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, we may terminate and/or disable the Membership of users who we suspect to be infringers of the copyrights (or other intellectual property rights) of others. Additionally, in appropriate circumstances and in our sole discretion, we may remove or disable access to material on any of our websites or hosted on our systems that may be infringing or the subject of infringing activity.
    
    
14. CHOICE OF LAW; JURISDICTION AND VENUE
    These Terms of Use shall be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any legal proceedings against SCRIPPS NETWORKS LLC that may arise out of, relate to, or be in any way connected with our Website or these Terms of Use shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
    
    
15. DISPUTE RESOLUTION; BINDING ARBITRATION
    In the Dispute Resolution Section only, “we” and “us” are used to refer to you and SCRIPPS NETWORKS LLC together.
    
    (A) We each agree to first contact each other with any disputes and provide a written description of the problem, all relevant documents/information and the proposed resolution. You agree to contact SCRIPPS NETWORKS LLC with disputes by contacting SCRIPPS NETWORKS LLC at the address provided in these Terms of Use. SCRIPPS NETWORKS LLC will contact you based on the contact information you have provided to SCRIPPS NETWORKS LLC.
    
    (B) We each agree to finally settle all disputes (as defined and subject to any specific exceptions below) only by arbitration. In arbitration, there's no judge or jury and review is limited. However, just as a court would, the arbitrator must honour the terms and limitations in the Terms of Use and can award the same damages and relief. The arbitrator's decision and award is final and binding, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction. We each also agree as follows:
    
    
1. "Disputes" are any claims or controversies against each other related in any way to the Website, Website Content or these Terms of Use – this includes claims you bring against SCRIPPS NETWORKS LLC's employees, agents, affiliates or other representatives, and claims SCRIPPS NETWORKS LLC may bring against you.
2. If either of us wants to arbitrate a dispute, we agree to send written notice to the other providing a description of the dispute, previous efforts to resolve the dispute, all supporting documents/information, and the proposed resolution. SCRIPPS NETWORKS LLC' will send notice to you based on the contact information you have provided SCRIPPS NETWORKS LLC and notice to SCRIPPS NETWORKS LLC must be sent to foodhero@scrippsnetworks.com. We agree to make attempts to resolve the dispute. If we cannot resolve the dispute within forty five (45) days of receipt of the notice to arbitrate, then we may submit the dispute to formal arbitration, in accordance with the provisions of the Arbitration Act 1996 and subject to the law of England and Wales.
3. The arbitration will be administered by the London Court of International Arbitration ("LCIA") under its arbitration rules. If any LCIA rule conflicts with these Terms of Use, these Terms of Use prevail. You can obtain procedures, rules, and fee information from the LCIA at www.lcia.org.
4. The arbitration will be conducted by a single neutral arbitrator who shall be appointed by the parties jointly or (failing agreement within five further working days) be selected and appointed by the LCIA.
5. The place of arbitration shall be London and all submissions and awards shall be made in English.
6. We each agree that any arbitration will be solely between you and SCRIPPS NETWORKS LLC (not brought on behalf of or together with another individual's claim). If for any reason any court or arbitrator holds that this restriction is unconscionable or unenforceable, then our agreement to arbitrate doesn't apply and the dispute must be brought in court.
7. The prevailing party in the arbitration will be entitled to recover its costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees and experts fees, which are incurred in connection with the arbitration.

(C) Either of us may bring qualifying claims in small claims court.


16. AMENDMENT; ADDITIONAL TERMS
    (A) We reserve the right in our sole discretion and at any time and for any reason, to modify or discontinue any aspect or feature of the Website or to modify these Terms of Use. In addition, we reserve the right to provide you with operating rules or additional terms that may govern your use of the Website generally, unique parts of the Website, or both (“Additional Terms”). Any Additional Terms that we may provide to you will be incorporated by reference into these Terms of Use. To the extent any Additional Terms conflict with these Terms of Use, the Additional Terms will prevail.
    
    (B) Modifications to these Terms of Use or Additional Terms will be effective immediately upon notice, either by posting on the Website or by notification by email or conventional mail. It is your responsibility to review the Terms of Use and the Website from time to time for any changes or Additional Terms. Your access and use of any the Website following any modification of these Terms of Use or the provision of Additional Terms will signify your assent to and acceptance of the same. If you object to any subsequent revision to the Terms of Use or to any Additional Terms, you may terminate your Membership as provided in Section 12(B) herein or, if you do not have an Membership, your only recourse is to immediately discontinue use of the Website.
    
    
17. MISCELLANEOUS
    (A)Any delay or failure on the part of us to exercise or enforce any rights under these Terms of Use to which we may be entitled shall not, in any event, be construed as a waiver of the right and privilege to do so at any subsequent time. The section headings used herein are for convenience only and shall not be given any legal import. If any provision of these Terms of Use is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of the Terms of Use, which shall remain in full force and effect. THIRD SEASON OF FOOD HERO SET TO RAISE THE BAR IN 2016!

Asian Food Channel and Food Network’s hunt for the next food host
is expected to draw fi erce competition across Asia- Pacific

The digitally-enabled competition expects to surpass past seasons’ participation numbers and increase engagement among food lovers in the region

 

SINGAPORE, 12 MAY 2016 – Come 23rd May, the search for the region’s best home cook and host kicks off in Asia as Food Hero returns in its third season. Building upon the momentum and success from previous seasons, the digitally-enabled competition will look to crown one winner who will go on to host his or her own Asian Food Channel and/or Food Network programme .

Food Hero 2016 – 5 Simple Steps to Participate!

• From 23 May onwards, interested participants can download the Food Hero mobile app from either App Store (on Apple) or Google Play (on Android).
• After downloading, participants will be prompted to register their information to sign in.
• The mobile app provides instructional videos and tips on how to shoot and submit a winning entry. Participants can also draw inspiration from various recipes from past contestants and watch previous Food Hero winners share their food story.
• Participants can record their entry that best demonstrates their cooking and hosting skills.
• They can then upload their video entry and also view submissions by other participants.

Upon closing of competition on 21st August (three months period to submit entries), a panel comprising of production and creative experts will evaluate the entries based on the participant’s personality, on-screen appeal and their creativity in producing original and engaging content. Top entries will be shortlisted to participate in a series of culinary and travel-related challenges to better evaluate them in ‘live’ scenarios.

Last year, Ili Sulaiman from Malaysia and Debbie Wong from Hong Kong overcame fierce competition and was crowned Food Hero 2015 champions, joining the likes of TV hosts Sarah Benjamin (Singapore) and Michele Lean (Malaysia) who won the first edition of the competition.

“The moment I realized I wanted to make a career out of food was probably when I saw Martin Yan on TV and I remember thinking that’s exactly what I want to be. Someone who’s passionate about food and sharing their food story with the world,” said Wong, who has since hosted a number of Food Network productions like Food Wars Asia Season 2 and Kitchen Quickies.

“I took part the first time around and I didn’t get through but b eing the winner for Food Hero last year has opened many doors for me and given me the confidence to host my own shows and better run my own establishment,” said Sulaiman who owns ‘DISH by Ili’, a food delivery service providing wholesome and nutritious meals in Malaysia.
